Birthday Party for Jesus!

After our trip to Disneyland I was wiped out. My mom and brother Mitch took Graedy to the church for the birthday party for Jesus. He had a great time!

Playtime

Balloons by the cakes and cupcakes

Exploring new toys

Playin' in the rain

The tail end of the same storm that hit Disneyland...only in Brawley! We were a little better prepared, and the fact that we were home made the rain a lot easier to deal with!

Christmas Trip to Disneyland

I decided not to renew my annual pass since we have a baby on the way and I probably won't be going as often for at least the next year. So sad. I will miss you Disneyland! We went about a week before Christmas and ended up being there just in time for a huge storm.
I loved the poinsettia with all the water looking like little crystals.

Crazy driver!

Visiting Santa

Reindeer at the petting zoo. However, you were not allowed to pet them!

Yea! A covered train ride after a long wet day.

We stopped at one of my favorite restaurants for one of my favorite meals. We had papas fritas as an appetizer (delicious, and Graedy loved them) and then a Monte Cristo sandwich, which I shared with Graedy. I liked it. That is the raspberry dipping sauce all over his face!

We planned to spend two days in the parks. The first day wasn't too bad...drizzly and overcast. But that evening the storm really moved in and by the next morning it was windy, cold, and really rainy. Had I not been in my first trimester of the pregnancy I may have toughed it out, but I wasn't feeling so great so we settled for breakfast in the hotel with the characters! Hanging out with Pluto after the surfing lesson.

Apparently Stitch puts him in stitches!

Even though it was rainy, I'm really glad we had a chance to go.

Kindermusik Performance

Graedy sang some songs and received his certificate. He was just as excited about the treat bag as he was about the certificate!

Cattle Call 2010

This year we did the the parade a little bit differently. Graedy has been participating in Kindermusik since the Spring. His teacher had a float in the parade and we decided to ride on it. It was a lot of fun but we were at the end so he missed most of the parade because we were on the float waiting to leave! I think next year we'll be watching it from the sidelines. :)

Waiting on the float with Grandma...
And then mom

Toward the end-blowing kisses! My mom was having to work really hard to keep him awake at this point!
Watching and imitating the drummers in the high school bands

Halloween

So, four months later! There has been a lot happening in the last few months so it's time to update!

Graedy had a big boy costume this year. He was Wolverine. The mask was too small for his head so I had to cut the back of it to make it fit! He loved the costume and continued to dress up for weeks afterward.

We visited as many family members as we could this year. Here he is with his Pops.
Grandma Barbara's house.

Grandma and Grandpa's
We also visited Aunt Judy and Uncle Jim, Aunt Tina and Uncle Larry, Aunt Jody and Uncle Mike and Auntie Char.

On our tour around Brawley we saw a big mummy window cling. He is still saying that it is Halloween again and he wants to go see the big mummy!

Halloween Cookies!

About a week ago I decided to put to use the new Halloween cookie cutters I picked up. Graedy was stoked-I heard that he had made some cookies with his Grammy earlier in the week. We started out by making the cookie dough. Graedy was a big help and did a great job following directions.

After chilling the dough, we rolled it out and Graedy did all of the cutting. I think he ended up with about as much flour on his shirt as we had on the wax paper!Pre frosting-and so excited he can actually eat them now!
Here's my bat!

On to the frosting. Here is the pumpkin he frosted himself...so proud!

Here's his candy corn...half licked!

He mostly licked the frosting off of the cookies and didn't eat a whole lot of actual cookie!

New Use for the Potty Chair

Obviously this was before we ditched the paci. That is the rubber seat that goes with the potty chair that you see around his feet. He still thinks this is a better use for the potty, or as a stool to try to sneak some chocolate! We're still waiting for him to show a little more interest in actually going to the bathroom in the potty!

The First of Many Nerf Battles

We have since had to purchase an additional nerf gun so that everyone has one. So much fun!

The joys of raising a boy!

So gross but so funny!

The San Diego Zoo

After visiting the Midway, the next day we headed to the zoo. Graedy was into the statues this day!

Here he is on the hippo.

Feeding the giraffes. I have a cute video of this at the bottom!

Lovin' dad and Grammy but wanting to feed the giraffe again!

Riding the Dumbo look alike at the play area.

Enjoying his seat on the secretary bird.

Hanging out in the shade of the elephant!

And finally, the video of Graedy feeding the giraffe. I think this is something we are going to have to do every time we go to the zoo! He absolutely loved it! Pay close attention to his comment at the end... :)
