Just the Three of Us

Matt, Graedy and I took one last trip, just the three of us, before Kellsie arrived. I was way too big to go on any of the rides, so daddy did the honors. I'm excited for Kellsie to be here, but I'm going to miss my alone time with my boys. I'm sure we'll have just as much fun with all four of us together!

Disneyland March 2011

Happy Birthday to Mommy! What would I like for my birthday? Disneyland, of course! Matt, Graedy, Mitch and my mom accompanied me.

Waiting in line at Pirates.

Still waiting!

We're so close!

Excited to see Buzz again. He's got to be Graedy's favorite character. I really don't ever get tired of this place. It's going to be a long wait until Kellsie's old enough to go!

The ninja strikes again!

Once again, when mom and dad aren't looking! This is exactly how I found the butter. It was not full, thankfully, when he started. I think he got about 3 spoonfuls before I caught him. I've never known anyone who will eat just butter. I'm hoping he does it for the shock value, and that it's not a sign of future bad eating habits!

Bountiful Harvest

We planted some carrots in the fall. Some were harvested and eaten, some were forgotten about. Apparently, this is what happens when you leave carrots in the ground for six months! We decided to go ahead and chop them up. The actually tasted pretty good!

Legoland!

Time for a little springtime fun in Carlsbad! Grammy and Uncle Jeff joined Mommy and Daddy for this trip.

I can't get enough of that smile! Another beautiful day with our fun little guy!

Cheese Head

I love cheese! One of the first, of what are sure to become many, ninja strikes. While I was busy on the computer, Graedy helped himself to some cheese! Yes, that is an entire block of colby-jack!

Fair Time!

Since mommy was pregnant, dad got to go on most of the rides with Graedy. They had lots of fun together!

Graedy was even big enough to go on some of the rides by himself this year...such a big boy!

Love this picture of the two guys. Lots of animals, fun and fair food!

The Zoo with Grammy and Pops

This was an especially fun trip to the zoo for Graedy. He got to go with just Grammy and Pops. Pops was still recovering from his stroke and Graedy got to ride on the rascal with him. So much fun!

Baby bump

I didn't take any baby bump pictures when I was pregnant with Graedy so I decided to take one this time around. Still pretty small!

Rainy Day Fun

Mud puddles are a kids best friend! This side of the house was a disaster for awhile so Graedy got to have lots of fun every time it rained. It has since been re-leveled-we're going to have to find another spot to play in the mud the next time it rains!

Missing his younger days

I had moved everything into the loft so that I could finish painting Kellsie's room. Graedy saw the Moses basket and realized how much he missed his younger days.

While the cat's away, the mouse will play

While I was busy working on Kellsie's room, Graedy decided to have some fun of his own! Found the baby powder and decided to powder himself, as well as the family room.

Uh, I don't really know how this happened.

I'm glad someone thinks this is funny. I did actually laugh. It's really the only thing to do in this type of situation!

Preparing the nursery

After finding out we were having a girl I was sooo excited to start decorating the nursery. I started gathering ideas the day we found out, but wanted to wait until we had the amneo results-I didn't want to jinx anything! After being on pins and needles for 3 looong weeks, we got the news that she was perfect! Let the decorating begin!
It began as a blank canvas, just waiting for some color. I was all too happy to add it! We had already purchased big boy furniture for Graedy so I had already moved the nursery furniture in, which made it a little tight.

No taping, just a steady hand. I lined the floor with plastic drop cloths and began measuring for the horizontal lines I planned to paint. I measured up from the floor and marked the wall with pencil every two feet or so. I then used a large piece of cardboard to connect the marks and draw my line.

I had planned on having no pink anywhere in the room or on my little girl, but after falling in love with a bedding set at Pottery Barn Kids, I realized the color scheme was going to involve pink. However, it was NOT going to be pepto pink! I chose a muted apple green and medium pink. I love painting, it's so much fun to watch how dramatically it changes a room! I wasn't worried about painting a straight line between the green and pink because I knew I was going to add a chair rail once I was finished.

Add a little pink...

And a cute white chair rail...

Voila! The first stage was complete. It reminded me of a candy shop due to the detail on the chair rail and the bright colors. I was so happy with the finished product and couldn't wait to start adding all the extras!

Desert Trip; January 2011

Beautiful day in the desert, family, jeeps...who could ask for more? We had a fantastic time and this trip led us to start looking into buying and saving for a jeep of our own.

Mom and Graedy headed off on a walk.

Graedy in his little rock house.

Checking out the shadows.

Hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa.

Grandma, Uncle Russ and Graedy at the train trussle.

Matt feeling a bit silly :)

There's no question Grandpa loves Graedy...he let him drive his new jeep!

Not sure he wants to be awake!

The narrows.

Mitch- 5'11". This gives you an idea how tall the walls of the wash are.

Mitch and I. He let me borrow his sweatshirt. It shows off my little baby bump.

My mom and I. We hiked up a hill at the end of the wash. Along the way we found a tarantula which freaked some people out (not me...) and it turned out to be dead.

Some of the scenery from the top of the wash.

We found a spot to stop and have some lunch. Uncle Russ took Graedy for a walk while we got everything set up.

We had carne asada burritos and mom brought a seven layer dip. Graedy loved the chips, which ended up all over the front of him!
